Hello! I’m Jennifer, Chief Editor for Disabled Guides at Not Another Guide. I was born with Arthrogryposis and have used a wheelchair all of my life. As a child I always dreamed of traveling but, traveling for someone like me isn’t as easy as it is for most. Information on accessible vacation spots, public transportation, housing and airline accommodations isn’t easy to acquire.
Even when it comes to finding an accessible pub or restaurant with an accessible restroom in my own city, I sometimes have a hard time. Where can one find detailed travel related information geared to those with disabilities? Which hotel has the best ADA rooms available? How can I travel with a wheelchair on an airplane? These questions are a few of many that a disabled person has to consider before leaving their home to vacation, or sometimes, on a daily basis.
It is our goal to answer them and to provide the information needed to enrich your life through travel. I’m very excited to open the door of travel to the disabled community. I encourage others to do the same.
If you travel, or know the in’s and out’s of your city, and have a disability - consider sharing your knowledge on Not Another Guide as a Contributor. We aim to provide guides that you’ll find helpful.
I’d love to hear suggestions and feedback from you so feel free to email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
